Sending International Parcels
Since Brexit, customs have changed how they operate, and in the past few months, customs have tightened up on their process. You may be charged customs fees but you should be able to reclaim these as the item makes a round trip. The process of reclaiming is different for every country. It seems that any parcel that is addressed to a business name will potentially receive customs fees. If a parcel is sent to a personal name and address, for instance “Tim Parkin, Mheall Mor, etc”, then that parcel is much less likely to receive customs fees.
If we do receive customs fees, we will endeavour to return them in a way that allows you to reclaim the fees but we can’t guarantee this. You will need to find these details for your country and let us know what we need to do – we suggest looking for terms such as “returned goods relief” e.g. here is the a page discussing this for EU countries.

Package Insurance
Please be aware the the value you put on the package will be used to calculate duty and VAT. If you wish to ensure your package is insured but do not want to put a large value on the package for customs valuation, you can buy postal insurance separately.
Overall parcel value includes postage
All parcels with a declared value of over the value of £45, which includes postage, may be charged customs. Please ensure you consider that when you are completing the customs form.
Document the number of transparencies/negatives
Ensure that you include the exact number of transparencies in the parcel.
Trade Tariffs & Commodity Codes
You will need to include a commodity code for goods you’re importing to the UK. We recommend using this code:: Commodity 3702390000

EROI Code for EU customers
An EORI number, or Economic Operators Registration and Identification number, is a unique identifier for businesses and individuals involved in customs operations in the European Union (EU).
