I have only recently started using the drum scan services provided by Tim and Charlotte, but I am certainly glad I have. They provide a high-quality professional service with excellent communication.

I was completely blown away with the quality, depth of textures and colours I was seeing from the scans provided by Tim and Charlotte compared to my previous Epson scans. These really did bring out the full potential from my negatives and slides which had been previously underutilised.

Due to the Covid lockdown restrictions, I have shifted my emphasis during this period from taking pictures to editing and printing my photographic work.

This challenging scene from Sapa, Vietnam captured on Portra 400 really required the image quality provided by a drum scan to produce all the features within the image. From the wooded areas in the background to the tower filtered through the clouds and the worker peering out from within.

I think this could be the start of a long journey and I would thoroughly encourage other film photographers to take this step.
